Rangers claim Rollins (again)

The Rangers have claimed David Rollins once again from Philadelphia, whom they had previously claimed from the Cubs on November 22nd, and in order to clear up roster space attempted to DFA and lost Rollins on a waiver claim to Philadelphia December 2nd. Rollins is once again a Ranger, for now…

In order to clear up space on the 40-man, the Rangers have DFA Tyrell Jenkins, which is a head scratcher as Jenkins was acquired on the 8th of this month along with Brady Feigl in exchange for Luke Jackson. Jenkins was assumed to be thrown into the mix for a chance at the 5th spot in the 2017 rotation and kept for rotational depth. Jenkins will end up being claimed off waivers by another club, traded, or outrighted to the minors if he clears waivers.
